FCPS School Boundary Meeting - June 15th at 7pm

FCPS is hosting an additional boundary meeting that will specifically focus on the following topics:

  • The possibility of leaving the Keene Mill attendance island as is at this time. During the comprehensive boundary review, the scenario presented to the community before pausing the work resolved the island. However, this resulted in moving students in and out of schools while capacity issues remained at Cardinal Forest Elementary School.  FCPS would like to seek feedback about leaving the island as is at this time. As needed, this could be reexamined in a future boundary review.

  • Elementary school assignments only for SPA 8922. FCPS would appreciate feedback on either remaining at Rolling Valley Elementary School or moving to Saratoga Elementary School. The discussion will focus only on the elementary assignment of the SPA given the existing capacity challenges at Irving Middle School and West Springfield HIgh School.

The meeting will be held Monday, June 15, from 7 to 8 p.m., at Saratoga Elementary School. Register to attend by clicking in person or virtual.

In addition, the boundary study feedback form introduced by FCPS at the May 20 meeting remains open.
